Andy Bocking, BBC News, Acting Technology Controller
Andy is currently the Technology Controller for BBC News Group leads on the technical strategy and development for BBC News Group. Andy started his career in World Service in 1979 as Technical assistant. He then moved to BBC English Regions where he held a wide range of roles across both TV and Radio (Engineering, Operations, Editorial) including the launch of new Television services and has also played a significant role in development and implementation of Audio, Video production and Automation systems for the BBC. In 2010 Andy returned to London to take up the post of Head of Technology News where he oversaw the technology strategy for News of the move from Television Centre to Broadcasting House.
