About Andrea Berry

Andrea Berry is executive vice president of operations & technology for NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises. Berry oversees Technical and Facilities Operations, Production and Post-Production, and, in addition, she guides and directs Engineering, IT and Security organizations across the U.S. and Latin America in alignment with global objectives. Berry reports to Ian Trombley, president of operations and technology at NBCUniversal and she’s a member of the executive leadership teams of both Telemundo and Operations & Technology.

A seasoned technical and operational leader with vast experiences in broadcast, media and field operations and production, Berry led her team through Telemundo’s broadcast of the 2022 FIFA World Cup™, the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup™, the 2024 Paris Olympic Games and all of Telemundo’s premier tentpoles including live, scripted and unscripted programming. She manages operations at the company’s global headquarters ‘Telemundo Center’ in Miami, a multimedia production facility with 15 highly adaptive studios including digital studios, virtual and augmented-reality sets, and a state-of-the-art news operation. Berry and her team also oversee the company’s first-ever owned and operated production unit in Mexico. 

Previously, Berry served as the senior vice president and general manager of the Broadcast, TV and Film division for the Production Resource Group (PRG), managing global teams that create technology solutions for television programming. Prior to PRG, Berry served on the senior leadership team in various roles at the FOX Broadcasting Network for almost two decades. Throughout her tenure, she oversaw the day-to-day media operations across three broadcast facilities nationwide, operating within a mission-critical environment. Berry spearheaded a skilled, interdisciplinary team that achieved remarkable successes in expanding FOX Sports and FOX Sports Network Operations and Engineering.  She additionally orchestrated the launch of more than 10 broadcast and cable networks, guiding teams responsible for producing some of the world’s most high-profile live events.  

The recipient of notable awards and industry recognitions, Berry has been honored with four Technical Team Remote Sports Emmy Awards and inducted into the Sports Video Group Sports Broadcasting Hall of Fame. She was also recognized with the STEM Leadership in Media award from the Alliance for Women in Media, the Technology Leadership Award from Broadcast & Cable Magazine, and the Women in Technology Leadership Award from TV News Check.

Berry currently serves as an Executive Member and Chair of the Diversity Committee for the Sports Video Group. She is on the Miami Advisory Board for America on Tech, an award-winning organization creating pathways into technology for students from underestimated communities. She serves as the Secretary for The Young Ambassadors Leadership Academy, a philanthropic organization focused on STEAM education, leadership and college readiness for youth. Berry also serves on the Board of the DuSable Black History Museum and Education Center and is a lifetime Trustee of the Illinois Institute of Technology.

Berry holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science with a minor in electrical engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology. She also holds an Executive Certificate in Management and Leadership from The Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and an Executive Certificate in New Media Management from the University of Southern California (USC).
