About Boyzie Hayes
Boyzie Hayes joined the ODU staff in 2012 as the athletic video coordinator. He became the director of video operations in 2021 overseeing both the broadcast and creative video arms of the external relations department.
Hayes directs and produces the video streams for ESPN+ for nearly all home athletic events. He also produces press conference interviews, recaps for various athletic events and archives video content for athletic video purposes.
Before joining the ODU staff, Hayes worked with Right Angle Media, Inc. and Norfolk State University football as a Videographer/Video Assistant.
Born in Mountain View, Ca., Hayes is an alum of Norfolk State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in mass communications and a Master of Arts in media and communications.
