About Dennis Black

Dennis Black is the assistant athletic director for creative services at the University of Florida, where he leads video and photography operations for all 21 varsity sports. He oversees video board productions for major sports, manages partnerships with Daktronics and VuStudios, and plays a role in Gators + content development with Learfield Studios.

With over two decades of experience in sports broadcasting, Black has produced and directed content for the SEC Network, Sun Sports, Cox Sports and has freelanced for NFL Films since 2011. He previously worked with ESPN Regional at USF and was part of the Frankfurt Galaxy’s 2003 World Bowl Championship staff. He has also had the opportunity to work two Super Bowls.

Black began his broadcasting career at Marshall University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in 1997 and a master’s degree in 1999. While at Marshall, he served as the station manager for the student radio station WMUL and worked at WSAZ, the local NBC Affiliate. He also played two seasons of collegiate baseball for the Thundering Herd.
