About Evan Ellis
As sr. director, ACC Network with HokieVision, Evan Ellis serves as the lead producer for broadcasts originating from the HokieVision control rooms. Ellis has produced linear and digital broadcasts for multiple sports on a variety of ESPN networks. In addition to producing, Ellis works closely with all of VT’s broadcast talent, helping develop the next generation of on-air talent from Virginia Tech.
Ellis joined HokieVision in October 2023 from Western Carolina University where he oversaw ESPN+ productions from all sides as director of video operations. Before arriving at WCU, he spent five years at Yale University coordinating all things video including ESPN+ production for 23 sports, regional sports network relationships, facility improvements and control room design, and content creation.
Prior to Yale, he worked with VFL Films at the University of Tennessee before and after the launch of the SEC Network. Originally from Elizabethton, Tennessee, Ellis is a 2012 graduate of Yale University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in history and was a four-year football letterwinner for the Bulldogs.
