About Rahat Kulshreshtha

Rahat Kulshreshtha is a filmmaker-turned-entrepreneur whose work sits at the intersection of storytelling and cutting-edge technology. Beginning his journey in London’s British film industry, he brought his creative vision to major Bollywood blockbusters like Sanju, Gully Boy, and Brahmāstra, earning a reputation as one of India’s top aerial cinematographers. But Kulshreshthat’s ambitions stretched beyond cinema—he saw a new canvas in sports broadcasting, and a chance to reinvent how fans experience the game.

Today, Kulshreshtha is the founder and CEO of Quidich Innovation Labs, a company transforming the global sports broadcast landscape. What began as a college project during the Young India Fellowship at Ashoka University has grown into a world-class sports tech company with offices in India, the UAE, and the UK. Quidich’s innovations have changed how cricket and other sports are seen—and felt—by millions of fans worldwide.

Kulshreshtha has led Quidich through breakthrough innovations like Quidich Tracker, which brought never-before-seen visualization of live fielding positions in cricket using AI-powered optical tracking. He also pioneered HyperReality, an immersive cricket highlight experience in VR developed in partnership with the ICC and the Apple Vision Pro team—becoming the first of its kind in global sport. Most recently was QuickFlip, an AI-based solution used during the ICC Men’s T20 world cup 2024 that powers vertical viewing experiences like MaxView on Disney+ Hotstar, transforming how mobile audiences watch live games.

A visionary leader and advocate for responsible innovation, Kulshreshtha also serves as Founder of the Drone Federation of India, helping shape policy and awareness around drone technology in the country. His work has been recognized across global media and international awards, reflecting his influence far beyond India’s borders. He is also an advisor and investor in Skyhigh India, the country’s first skydiving drop zone—yet another frontier where he brings innovation to life.

Kulshreshtha believes the future of sports lies in immersion, intelligence, and emotion. Through his diverse experiences—from drone cinematography to real-time data visualizations—he is building that future, one story at a time.

What are 3 things you’re passionate about?:

Storytelling Through Technology
I am deeply passionate about blending technology and narrative to create unforgettable visual experiences. Whether it’s flying a drone over a cricket field or crafting immersive replays in the Apple Vision Pro, I believe storytelling isn’t confined to screens—it’s about building emotion, context, and connection through every pixel.

Harnessing Serendipity
I believe that magic isn’t random—it’s rhythm. I’m passionate about placing myself at the intersection of intention and chance, where “luck” is something you train for. From bumping into future collaborators on a beach in Thailand to writing a note to Apple before a meeting even exists, I have a knack for manifesting moments that move mountains.

Building at the Edge
I am consistently drawn to the edge—of ideas, of technology, of what’s possible. From experimenting with AI in live sports broadcasts to co-creating India’s first skydiving drop zone, I thrive in the space where certainty ends and possibility begins. For me, true innovation emerges in those bold, often irrational, leaps into the unknown.
