About Sandeep Srikanth
Sandeep Srikanth leads sports production for JioStar, managing day to day production for all major sporting events broadcast on the network. Across his stints at Star India & Viacom18, Srikanth has overseen the unilateral production & delivery of major sporting events including Tata IPL, ICC Cricket World Cups, Olympic Games and FIFA World Cups. Srikanth specializes in conceptualising innovative new workflows that leverages REMI production to create multi-language unilateral broadcasts at scale, overseeing delivery of 25+ parallel live streams for JioStar’s broadcast of Tata IPL 2025. Before joining Star India, he was an automotive journalist working with major publications to conceptualise, present and produce reviews, features and other themed content. Srikanth’s passion for sports started young – as a national level swimmer and multiple time national Sailing Champion, he also represented India at the 2002 Asian Games.
What are 3 things you are passionate about?:
The Ocean – As a swimmer, sailor and certified scuba diver, the Ocean has been a quasi-home for me since childhood. Given a choice, I would live by the ocean and almost all off days / long breaks revolve around sailing or diving.
Science Fiction & Space – The books of Isaac Asimov & Arthur Clarke played a big role in my childhood forming an interest in space exploration and pulp sci-fi that continues to this day.
NBA Basketball – While I don’t watch as many games as I used to, I am a fully plugged in meta fan getting my fix via podcasts.
