About Dan Murphy
As the VP of NEP Platform, Dan Murphy leads the development of NEP’s core technology that powers live productions worldwide. He is a founder of TFC, NEP’s broadcast orchestration platform, designed to address the unique challenges of deploying and managing IP broadcast infrastructure at scale.
Since joining NEP Australia in 2017, Murphy has worked alongside his colleagues at the forefront of media technology innovation, from the early deployment of SMPTE 2110 in the groundbreaking NEP Andrews Hub remote production facility, to shaping the future of software-based production in mobile units and flypacks or across public and private clouds.
With a background in software development and IT, Murphy brings a unique perspective on the future of broadcast. His passion lies in enabling software-defined, scalable, and secure production facilities that transform engineering into a true team sport, ready to meet the evolving demands of global sports leagues and live events.
