About Dominic Torchia
Dominic Torchia is vice president of engineering and technology at NBC Sports, where he leads the engineering strategy and technology roadmap for NBC’s largest live sports productions, including the Olympics, Super Bowls, Sunday Night Football, and major properties such as NBA and Big Ten college sports. Widely recognized as a technology specialist in remote production, Torchia’s expertise spans traditional broadcast systems, advanced REMI workflows, SMPTE ST-2110 IP networks, and hybrid cloud solutions — enabling scalable, efficient, and highly reliable live broadcasts.
With over 15 years at NBC Sports, Torchia has played a central role in designing and implementing large-scale broadcast and remote production infrastructures. He has been a key contributor to NBC’s at-home production efforts since the Sochi Winter Olympics in 2014, served as lead design engineer for remote flypacks, and helped launch multiple new properties during his tenure. His unique combination of deep technical knowledge and strategic leadership ensures NBC Sports remains at the forefront of live production technology.
