About Gina Holland
Designated a “Women to Watch” by Multi-Channel News, Gina M. Holland, CEO and Founder of Ruby Red, Inc, is renowned for her ability to influence and inspire culture through media.
As CEO of Ruby Red, Holland uses her mastery of all facets and genres of production to develop, produce, distribute and consult for broadcast, cable, theatrical, digital and e-sport platforms. Currently, under Ruby Red’s banner, Holland is heading Remote Broadcast Operations for Allen Media Group’s HBCU GO Sports. Holland’s oversite includes crew, technical operations, financials, and broadcast distribution. She is also responsible for developing and integrating workflow strategies with 107 HBCU’s and AMG entities (The Weather Group, Grio, Amazon PRIME, AMG Broadcast (27 stations – ABC, FOX, NBC) and other syndication stations for SWAC, CIAA, SAIC and HBCU Classic(s) live sports broadcast events.
Other RRI projects include: Cleo Speaks Series (3 seasons), CBS Pilot for Niecy Nash Talk Show, ComicView, Mysteries of the Unseen World: a 3D IMAX NatGeo film; Feature film: Woman Thou Art Loosed: On The Seventh Day, Breast Cancer Examined and The Funny Spot comedy series. Previously, as BET’s Senior Vice President of Programming and Production, Holland’s vision and leadership were responsible for BET’s re-branding of production and operations to increase asset valuation for a$3 billion sale to Viacom. She supervised all aspects of Network Operations, including production finance, production, master control, programming and production. Under her direction, BET’s footprint was expanded to Los Angeles and NYC. Her creative credit highlights include BET Awards, Comic View, Celebration of Gospel, BET’s Walk of Fame (NAACP Image Award Winner).
At NBC, Holland handled the network’s highly-rated scripted series, music and sports specials: Seinfeld, ER Live, The Tonight Show, Access Hollywood, The Today Show, The Rose Parade, Saved By the Bell, Garth Brooks Live Concert and the Centennial Olympic Games – managing eight live sporting events and introducing new cutting edge technology – i.e. rail cam, dive cam, and managing first HD remote production unit in the United States.
Academically, she taught Entertainment Business at UCLA Extension and The Los Angeles Film School.
Holland is also the Founder & Managing Director of Redbib LLC – a farm-to-table e-commerce marketplace that focuses on food access and food health. RedBib supports communities in the US and in South Africa.
