About Paul Bonar

Paul J. Bonar is the vice president of engineering solutions at Game Creek Video and a leading figure in remote television production. He began his career in Oklahoma, working in local television before moving into freelance audio engineering and technical management. His early years included a wide range of roles in production, engineering, and operations—including EIC, TM, Ops Mgr, A1, and many others. He worked as an EIC for Challenger Productions, Producers Mobile, KTVY, and VTE, as well as Director of Broadcast Operations for Winner Communications, where he supported major events such as the Triple Crown horse races, Major League Soccer’s inaugural season, and the National Finals Rodeo.

Bonar joined Game Creek Video in 1997 and quickly advanced from EIC to Vice President of Engineering, earning multiple Technical Emmy Awards along the way. He has designed and constructed nearly 100 mobile production units, introducing—alongside co-designer Jason Taubman—industry-first innovations such as Southern Cross, the first router-centric mobile unit; the FOX Sports FX fleet; Dynasty for the YES Network, the first 3GB mobile unit; and Encore, a transformative IP-based production fleet. Recent projects include the PrimeOne fleet for Amazon, as well as new builds such as Flagship for ESPN/ABC’s Monday Night Football and Ovation for FOX Sports.

During Bonar’s tenure, Game Creek Video has grown from a three-truck, 12-person operation into a national powerhouse with more than 80 mobile units and over 300 employees. The company now plays a central role in producing nearly every major sports and political broadcast in the United States, including the Super Bowl, the College Football Playoff National Championship, The Masters, the PGA Championship, the U.S. Open, TGL, the NBA Finals, the World Series, the Daytona 500, the NCAA Final Four, the Olympic Games, and the Republican and Democratic National Conventions.
