Video as a Data Type: A Reference Architecture for AI-Era Media
Tue 14 Jul, 2026
9:15 am - 9:45 am - (All times are in PDT Time Zone)
Foundation models are converging in capability and falling in price, but the substrate underneath them is going the other direction. Rights, lineage, identity, transport, and machine-readable representation are accumulating value as the model layer commoditizes, and they are where the next decade of media operations will actually be fought. This talk walks through a reference architecture for that substrate, and shows how live sports, local broadcast, generative studios, and deep catalog owners each fight a different version of the same battle.

Andy Beach, Alchemy Creations, Founder and Principal

Solutions Showcase: Organizing AI Projects at Scale
Tue 14 Jul, 2026
3:45 pm - 4:00 pm - (All times are in PDT Time Zone)
Noah and his team were producing commercials, short films, and a feature film using virtual production and generative AI. They needed a way to manage and visualize complex projects containing thousands of shots and hundreds of edited sequences. Most current AI video tools focus only on generating single shots or short sequences. Drawing on their experience in video application development and expanding their coding skills, they built a custom app comparable to Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve. This session showcases their solution for organizing and visualizing AI projects at any scale while leveraging the secure, local power of macOS.
Presenter:
Noah Kadner, American Cinematographer Magazine, Virtual Production Editor
