About Matt George
Matt George, a seasoned professional with a rich background in athletics and technology, joined Diversified in 2019 following a distinguished 14-year tenure at the University of Arizona Athletics department. At the university, George held the role of Assistant Athletic Director for Audio/Video & Information Technology from 2013 to 2019, where he spearheaded various initiatives including the leadership of IT, Video, Audio, and LED gameday production systems.
During his seven-year tenure at Diversified, George has actively contributed to a multitude of projects involving teams from five major professional sports leagues (MLS, NFL, NHL, NBA, & MLB), as well as numerous collegiate and minor league entities and media production facilities. Specializing in Sports and Live Events, George has led the system engineering design for prominent establishments such as SF 49ers (2110 UHD Video Production), Seattle Mariners (2110 Video Production), UT Austin (2110 Video Production), Indiana Pacers (2110 Video Production), Climate Pledge Arena (Video Production with a 2110 island), UBS Arena (Broadcast Cabling), LAFC (LED CMS), University of Tennessee (LED CMS), and various other facilities upgrades.
Combining a robust IT & Networking background with expertise in capital facilities construction management, George is adept at integrating modern solutions with cutting-edge video production technologies to deliver optimal outcomes for clients. Beyond his extensive experience in IT and broadcast engineering, George boasts over 19 years of freelance work in live event production, outside broadcast sports production, and large venue audio.
George holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Arizona, conferred in 2007. He currently resides in Tucson, AZ with his wife and their three young sons, demonstrating a commitment to both professional excellence and family values.
