Next Generation Technologies from Field to Living Room, Leveraging Audio AI for Efficient High-Value Production Scalability and Global Distribution

A significant impact of the transition to DTC streaming of live sports is to put increased pressure on production scalability to maximize revenue by concurrently covering an ever-greater range of sports and individual events, while endeavoring to maintain a uniform standard of quality. Global cross-industry consolidation looks to even further increase demands “to do more with less”.  Happily, riding to the rescue are a host of highly-scalable AI-enabled tools and technologies.  As streaming services finally move to layer-in efficient next generation audio systems for enhanced immersive experiences, personalization, and accessibility, AI agents, along with efficient next-gen standardized metadata and signal transport, will be essential to fully exploiting these features.  Console virtualization, digital microphones and, AI real-time processing are also poised to alter production workflows and accelerate to move toward remote production-hubbing, where the deployment of AI-enabled QC and versioning tools can be expected to help manage increasing concurrent program flows.

As we saw decades ago with digital editing workstations, with smaller files and data rates, audio is already arriving at the AI and virtualization party far in advance of video.  Please join SVG Audio for an examination of the implications of evolving production and distribution technology and share perspectives and experiences from engineers, designers and technologists.
